This model 63A SportsRoof is a documented factory R-code 428 Cobra
Jet, Ram Air Shaker hood with a 4-speed manual transmission. The
year 1969 was the last for the GT option from Ford until its return
in 1982. In 1969 only 278 R-code GTs were built; of those only
eight were finished in Royal Maroon over a standard black interior
with the 428ci Cobra Jet V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission.
Two had 3.50 Trak-Loc rear axles and only one had power steering.
This car has been documented by a Marti Report to be a one-of-one
car. In addition to features noted above, the car is complete with
power brakes, tach dash, chrome GT wheels and tailpipe extensions,
as well as the correct smog system, GT stripes and AM radio. The
car has undergone a complete, professional concours-level
restoration with correct detailing under the hood, including (but
not limited to) hoses, wires and clamps. The undercarriage/chassis
was similarly detailed, including correct paint and factory
markings, new wheels and reproductions of the original Goodyear
Polyglas bias-ply tires. The complete driveline was rebuilt and
still shows most of the original tags. The engine incorporates a
freshly rebuilt and balanced, correct Ford replacement block. The
interior is all new and looks almost like the day it rolled off the
assembly line. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
