This Pro-Touring 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS is powered by a
5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine. The aluminum V8 is fitted with stainless
long-tube headers feeding a custom 3-inch stainless X-pipe and
mufflers. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a TREMEC 6-speed
manual transmission upgraded with a RAM muscle car clutch and built
by Texas Driveline. Translating the power to the road is a Moser
9-inch rear with 31-spline axles and 3.70 gears. For stopping
power, the Nova uses a set of Wilwood disc brakes with a concealed
master cylinder and stainless-steel brake lines. For suspension,
the Nova uses Scott's Hotrods independent front suspension and a
custom Scott's Hotrods 4-link riding on RideTech springs and
adjustable RideTech shocks. Additional suspension components
include power steering tied to Detroit Speed subframe connectors,
torque boxes and Detroit Speed wheel tubs. A set of custom 18-inch
Boze Alloys wheels are wrapped with Nitto rubber measuring
285/35-18 at the rear and 235/40-18 up front. The exterior features
a smoothed body, filled cowl and custom firewall painted with PPG
Midnight Orange Metallic with flat Dark Titanium Gray accents
inside and out. Tying the outside to the inside is a full custom
leather interior designed by Steve Holcomb interiors with cove
accent lighting. Dakota Digital gauges light up the dash to
complement the interior lighting. It also features a Vintage Air
Gen IV heat and air conditioning unit and four power windows
controlled in the full-length center console. To complete the look,
a Bluetooth receiver is used to communicate to the Alpine amplifier
and speakers.
