For Sale at Auction: 1955 Chevrolet Nomad in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This custom Nomad wagon is powered by a 383ci stroker V8 engine backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission with a Hughes 220 stall converter. It is equipped with a custom-built narrowed 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.73 gears. Braking was upgraded with a CPP chrome master cylinder with 13-inch disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. Suspension is RideTech tubular control arms with coilovers in front and rear with a 4-link rear end. It rides on staggered 20-inch front and 22-inch rear Coys five-spoke wheels with painted centers wrapped in Hankook tires. The 383ci stroker engine is equipped with Pro Action heads, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, March pulley system and an MSD ignition. The exhaust flows through Patriot ceramic-coated long-tube headers leading into a custom 2.5-inch stainless exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. The body underwent a full frame-off restoration with a smoothed and powder-coated chassis and recontoured wheel openings. The body was restored back to stock, and all chrome and stainless has been replated and polished, including one-piece bumpers. The custom PPG Viper Red paint is by Joe Martin of Martin Brothers Customs and Shorty Ponce of Elite Autoworks. Joe was given creative license to design and airbrush one-of-a-kind custom flames that include his trademark ghost skulls with a unique expression in each flame lick. The design theme was continued on the custom-fabricated center console, firewall and inside gas lid, and is signed on the tailgate by Joe. This is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art on wheels. The interior includes billet sweep dash panels, Classic Instruments gauges with Painless wiring harness, Ididit automatic tilt column, Budnik steering wheel, Vintage Air and a top-grain full custom leather interior, including seats, door panels and headliner. The carpeting is a match of Mercedes-Benz gray and black tweed covering with wall-to-wall Dynamat thermal acoustic mat. Power windows and locks complete the luxury interior design. This one-of-a-kind build won the Goodguys PPG Dream Car and Super Chevy Editor's Choice Award, and was featured in Goodguys Gazette and Super Chevy magazine. **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
