Vehicle Description
This 1956 Meteor Rideau Crown Victoria is one of 206 units built
and underwent a body-off-the-frame fresh restoration completed in
2020. The restoration included the refinishing and detailing of the
undercarriage, as well as a new interior and a detailed engine bay.
During the restoration, virtually all the chrome was either
replated or replaced and the stainless moldings were polished, and
the Meteor emblems that are unique to this car were retained. Many
new parts and components were installed on the car, including, but
not limited to, a new master cylinder, brake lines, shocks,
stainless-steel gas tank, fuel sender unit, exhaust, control arm
bushings, idler arm bushings, headliner, windshield and more. The
Crown Victoria is powered by a 292ci V8 engine mated to an
automatic transmission and features power steering, Town & Country
radio, wire basket wheel covers, Continental kit, fender skirts,
rear deck antenna and backup lamps. Documents include an original
letter from the historical consultant at Ford Motor Company
verifying the car's authenticity as well as the owner history.
