1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS (California Special) in Scottsdale, AZ
This cosmetic restoration California Special is one of the
Ford-produced 4,118 California Special Mustangs, which were coupes
with a Shelby trunk lid and integrated spoiler, taillights and side
scoops. A stripe down the side indicated it was a California
Special, and a blacked-out grille with the Mustang ornament deleted
and Lucas fog lights completed the package. Under the hood lies the
C-code 289ci V8 engine mated to a C4 SelectShift automatic
transmission and 2.79 conventional rear axle. Finished in its
original Meadowlark Yellow, this California Special includes
optional factory air conditioning, power steering, a black vinyl
interior with bucket seats, AM radio, tinted glass, deluxe seat
belts and wheel covers. The car comes with a Deluxe Marti Report
and the registration from the most recent registered owner of over
35 years.
