This 1976 custom Duster is powered by a 360ci V8 engine with a
Chrysler 727 automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt with
performance in mind and fitted with many performance options.
Performance options include a 650 CFM throttle body EFI system, MSD
6AL ignition system and MSD Blaster coil, new fuel tank, electric
fuel pump, fuel level sending unit, air conditioning, serpentine
belt drive system and a Be Cool radiator with dual electric fans.
The sunroof-equipped body was painted a bright white with black
Rally stripes that go under the hood and the trunk lid, three coats
of clear and Duster twister decals on the rear quarter-panels. The
engine compartment and bumpers were color-matched white and have a
beautiful gloss, along with window trim and grille painted black.
The windows were tinted and all new weatherstripping was installed.
The interior was redone using black original equipment seat foam,
seat covers, door panels, armrests and seat belts. The dash was
repainted and a new dash pad was installed, along with new
aftermarket Thunder Road silver face gauges, including tachometer
and speedometer, oil pressure, coolant temp, fuel level and
voltage. The original steering column was refurbished and a new
Grant steering wheel was installed. The trunk was custom-fitted
with upholstery, including floor panels, carpeting and side panels.
The trunk is also fitted with nitrous bottles for engine
performance and a custom Duster twister logo. A new stereo system
includes Alpine AM/FM and CD player and USB connection, Alpine
6-inch round door speakers with custom mounting panels, Alpine
2-inch round door tweeters, Alpine 6x9-inch rear speakers, two
Alpine 10-inch rear subwoofers, two Alpine amplifiers and a backup
camera. The power steering-controlled suspension comes with
drop-front spindles and includes Wilwood drilled and slotted rotors
up front and drum brakes in the back. The rear end comes with 4.10
gears, posi-traction, heavy-duty rear axles and driveshaft. This
car is rolling on polished aluminum American Racing Torq Thrust
15-inch wheels with bullet center caps wrapped in P205/60/R15 front
