Most classic Land Cruisers are rare, and ones in good condition are quite scarce. Much like the vintage Land Rover, the Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser has a devoted following. Both vehicles were developed in the early 1950s based on the Willys M38 Jeep, which earned worldwide respect in WWII. The short-wheelbase FJ40 was generally sturdier than the Land Rover and didn’t require as much maintenance.
A beautiful example such as this 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is remarkably difficult to find. The restoration costs for this build exceeded $100,000 and the results are truly impressive. This has to be one of the best examples from the superb exterior to the leather interior. This FJ40 is not only an amazing off-roader for the great outdoors but could compete successfully on the show circuit as well.
