Vehicle Description
1938 Ford Custom Convertible
The rare custom all steel 1938 Ford Cabriolet Convertible body was
massaged to perfection from front to rear! This gorgeous street rod
shows hours of painstaking bodywork, welding, glass, and paint to
make all competition envy.
To get the overall design the top and windshield was chopped 2
3/4-inches with one-piece powered glass in the doors. The doors
open in suicide style with shaved handles and recessed hinges to
keep a clean smooth appeal. The inner door has been widened to
blend into the custom dash to give a flowing race cockpit feel.
Inspect the inner door and notice the airflow duct vents in the
upper door to perfectly align the flow of cool air from the Vintage
V8 Air & heat system.
A combination of metallic Silver & Tangerine Orange with a generous
amount of gold flake demands serious attention. Look close at the
stylish flames for they have been accented in Emerald green pin
stripe. The slick two-tone paint is the result of hours of
polishing the many layers of clear to a mirror finish.
Take total control with the Grant Collector's edition wood Banjo
steering wheel. The custom dash has full array of Auto Meter gauges
with the 1940's graphics and teardrop pointers. The center console
houses the Pioneer stereo, Vintage Air controls and the Air Ride
psi gauge and ride adjustment for front & rear. The door panels
have custom flames embossed to match the exterior paint. The front
bucket seats and rear seat are in a light tan leather. The tan
two-layer canvas convertible top has a real glass rear window.
Nestled in the engine bay is a LT1-350ci V8 and a 4L60E automatic
transmission runs smooth and strong. The headers and dual Dynaflow
exhaust keep the tones mellow for easy cruising. Power front disc
brakes and rear drums bring the Ford to a safe halt from any speed.
The full custom frame has been augmented by a Mustang II style
independent front suspension and power rack and pinion which
provide the maximum turning radius with Air Ride. Rear Air Ride on
the triangulated four-bar suspension out back.
This prestigious Street Rod is titled as 1938 Cabriolet and has a
mere 1500 miles on the LT1-350ci and 7 miles on build!
This high end custom could be yours for $62,500.00!
