We always love a good and sleek stepside pickup, and this one takes
the desirability up another few notches. Fuel-injected V8 power,
overdrive transmission, and bucket seats interior headline really
add to the appeal of this 1970 GMC Half-Ton Stepside pickup. So if
you're looking for a classic truck that checks all your boxes, dig
deeper into this one.
This Pickup shows off a stylish nature that's with an engaging
presentation that's as clear as black and white...literally. The
smooth black paint has a good shine to showcase the crisp lines of
the hood and the curves of the stepside fenders. And the bright
white paint on the roof is a truly distinctive touch. There are
nice custom touches like the spinners on the Rally wheels and the
smoother deleted trim/badging. But it also never loses that classic
appeal with big chrome bumpers and glossy real wood in the truck
bed. This is a GMC pickup. It's a little hard to tell with the
badge-free billet grille and Chevrolet tailgate. It's all part of a
unique restoration that we were told was a father and son
multi-year passion project. You can see the added care in the
details like the good glass, pliable seals, and the ways doors
close with confidence.
The interior continues the upgraded nature while keeping an eye on
vintage style. The best place to see that in in the seating. This
was upgraded to a CST-style setup with bucket seats and a cup
holder center console in between. Plus, the ultra-desirable
houndstooth cloth inserts are practically an icon all on their own.
Newer door panels, clean carpeting, good visors, and a smooth dash,
and a retro-style AM/FM/cassette stereo all give this a quality
feel. And because this is also a true driver's truck, you get an
upgraded sports steering wheel. And the full gauge package upgrade
will remind you of more modern GM machines, and that's also a hint
at what's under the hood.
The engine bay has the unmistakable look of upgraded power. After
all, the Vortec name was decades away in the GM world when this
truck was produced. This 5.3-liter fuel-injected V8 is related to
the LS family, and so you have proper fuel-injected pickup power.
This fires up readily and runs as a good FI machine should. The
4L60E four-speed automatic transmission was built to go with this
motor, and it does it smoothly while providing overdrive comfort.
There are also more desirable driver's features like a stout
12-bolt rear end, power steering, and power brakes w/front discs
that make this custom stepside truck ready to be a great anytime
pickup.
This is the cool-looking classic that's also a ton of fun to drive.
So you know you need to hurry on this deal. Call today!!!
