Vehicle Description
1938 Dodge Hot rod business coupe with a 1970 Chevy Chevelle 396
drivetrain. I have had this car since 2019. It has almost 18,000
miles since being restored - which is a good sign in my opinion,
hasn't sat and is totally functional and road worthy. I have driven
this over 1,000 reliable miles this past year. The engine code TI
103 CTX has a build date of October 1970 from the Towando Plant. It
is a 396 rated at 350hp mated to an automatic TH400 transmission.
The motor fires right up, idles high on choke and runs out nice.
Holley Street Avenger carb. Dual exhaust. Power steering. I have a
receipt from a shop that is still in business that rebuilt the
TH400 tranny in 2007 at 8,805 miles. Presently 18,000 miles on
odometer. This car toured East Coast car shows after being built.
Have pictures of it being shown on the Dover International Speedway
in Delaware in 2006. Power windows work. Rear windows roll down
manually. All gauges work. All lights work including license plate
bracket. Under dash convenience light illuminates when you open a
door. Wipers work too. Aftermarket Vintage Air conditioning system
works. I have all the literature and instructions for the a/c
system. There are electric cooling fans that work off a switch.
This is a 75 year old car that will cruise at 75mph on the highway
comfortably. There are three seat belts in back bench. The two
front bucket seats are full power and every motion works. I had the
power seat switches replaced when I purchased the car along with a
new battery this summer, a new starter, oil change, coolant
flush/thermostat,... I had new carpet in cab and trunk installed.
It is not a backyard amateur paintjob. There is not a spec of rust
or a bubble in the paint. Paint shows really well, with some small
imperfections since restoration. Please Note The Following
