For Sale: 1981 Volkswagen Jetta in Cadillac, Michigan
1981 MK1 Jetta that has a 1.8T swap "in progress". The motor swap
has not been finished, but has almost everything needed to complete
the task. The motor is from a 1999 Audi A4. Wiring harness is from
the 99 A4. The 5 speed transmission has a Quaife LSD in it! It's
ready to go! Just bolt on the axles. Mileage is unknown, but I'm
sure it was adult driven, never tracked, always had the oil changed
every 3500 miles and allowed to warm up every time before being
driven. There is an intake manifold from a VW 1.8t as well as the
correct exhaust manifold. The K3 turbo spins and very little play
can be felt from the shaft. One of the items that will need to be
sourced is a passenger side motor mount. We had a brand new, 24
Hours of Lemons, spec'd roll cage installed by a professional last
May. Once I picked the car up from the cage builder, I immediately
sprayed it with Rustoleum self etching primer. The cage is solid.
The floor pan under the driver is not, however, we have a brand new
floor pan that will go with the sale. You will also be getting a
bunch of spares as well. Please Note The Following **Vehicle
