Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Incredible custom build! High-quality 1967 C10 Diesel
Restomod 4x4! Complete with a 6.6L Duramax and Allison
transmission! Turn key, road ready mashup of a '67 C10 + 2003 GMC
Sierra 2500. We're pretty sure this isn't what AC Delco had in mind
when they said "Keep your GM car ALL GM!"
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this C10 has undergone both restoration
and light modifications. On the surface, the body was restored as
one might expect for a normal restoration, with the only major
change being a gas filler relocation. Underneath, the '67 body is
mounted to a shortened 2003 GMC 2500 4x4 full chassis-bumper to
bumper! The body shows well, and with the shortened '03 frame it
really looks like it is supposed to be this way. Last but not
least, a 2015+ style GM rear step bumper finishes the look out
nicely!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Repainted in the 2014-2016 GM paint color
Laguna Blue (paint code WA135X) PPG base coat clear coat, this
truck is a slick and shiny showstopper! Bound to turn heads
anywhere you take it, the paint has a brilliant shine and shows
very well. This vehicle has been driven and used some since it was
completed, so some minor signs of age/use are showing as seen in
the photos, but overall the cosmetics are in fantastic
condition.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: In contrast to the exterior, the
interior retains a largely original appearance, with the exception
of the seats, gauge cluster, and steering wheel & column, all of
which were lifted from the same donor vehicle as the underpinnings.
The two trucks have been almost seamlessly integrated, and we think
this "C20" is the perfect mixture of old and new.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: As if having more modern interior, suspension,
and structural components wasn't already cool enough, under the
hood appears almost exactly the way the engine bay of a 1999-2006
GM pickup would. The 6.6L Duramax diesel is nestled in comfortably,
and looks like it belongs. The dual battery setup even made the
cut! The air conditioning, heat, and push button 4x4 controls all
work as anticipated making this blue beauty one bad mama jama.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The beautifully executed
integration of old and new technology that gives this truck the
easy drivability most classics lack!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Custom vehicles aren't for
everyone, so if you're a stickler for originality stay far away
from this truck!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The airbag light is on, presumably because
the airbag system from the 2003 could not be installed as designed
on the 1967. The cruise control does not work, which may be because
the airbag light is on.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This truck is for any buyer who
really wants to knock the socks off of their friends with something
that you know they haven't seen before!
