1977 Chevrolet K-20 - 400ci V8 - Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission -
76k Miles - Red Over Black and Red Interior (Please note: If you

can be the start of a long friendship. €" Period GMC Pickup Truck
magazine ad headline Hagerty characterized the attractive design of
the late-Seventies GM pickups this way: Whether Chevrolet or GMC,
the General's third-generation, 'square-body' trucks were a
dramatic departure from the company's previous efforts. The
third-gen models featured squared-off front and rear fascia, subtle
body contours honed by wind-tunnel testing, a more accommodating
and ergonomic interior... a style decades ahead of its time.
Offered here is a well-maintained and properly upgraded 1977
Chevrolet K-20 pickup in metallic red over black-and-red. The truck
has a lift kit properly installed. Showing 76,632 miles on its
odometer, the Chevy 4WD pickup has traveled fewer than 1,750 miles
per-year on average since new. Its excellent overall condition
shows how owner pride, attention to regular servicing, and careful
refreshing can result in a virtually timeless vehicle. The
exterior, refreshed red-metallic paint shows well. Indications of
the professional work, the gloss is even, and the application is
smooth; only the truck's hood and roof display some fading. (To
best assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, be sure to
view the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying
gallery.) A fiberglass visor over the windshield incorporates
marker lights. The floors of the cargo bed and tailgate have been
treated with black, non-slip protective coating. A lockable work
box of diamond-plate steel is mounted immediately rearward of the
cabin. There are no signs of body damage anywhere. The chrome front
bumper and rear step-bumper are in perfect condition. Other chrome
items-door handles, grille and headlight trim, fender-well trim,
and side mirrors-are in excellent condition as well with only very
minor patina from age. Badging is limited to the bowtie emblem in
the grille and the embossed Chevrolet on the tailgate. Lighting
lenses and cabin glass-including the sliding rear window-are
perfectly clear and undamaged. Aftermarket, 8-opening, 16-inch
polished-alloy wheels are mounted with Dick Cepek® Extreme Country
31.5x75 LT all-terrain tires. The front axle features locking hubs.
Inside, black-and red covers on the bench seat are free of wear or
damage; charcoal-gray, woodgrain-trimmed door panels include audio
speakers and roll-up-window cranks. A black, Chevrolet-branded,
2-spoke steering wheel frames the classic GM truck dashboard, but
with an improved instrument cluster incorporating a full range of
AutoMeter® analog gauges in place of the stock presentation. (The
dashboard shows some delamination on the driver's side.) An
upgraded Pioneer® audio head unit is mounted in place of the
factory radio while factory slide-levers control heating and
ventilation. The charcoal-gray dashboard is trimmed in woodgrain
with a Sierra Classic emblem facing the front passenger. The shift
lever for the Turbo 350 automatic transmission is mounted on the
steering column; the transfer-case selector lever is floor-mounted
to the rear of added cupholders. Dark-gray cabin floor carpeting
shows evidence of use, but not abuse. Under the hood, the
400-cubic-inch GM V8 (wearing a matte-black, open-sided,
Edelbrock®-embossed air cleaner and polished-metal valve-covers)
commands a clean and well-ordered engine bay. All components are
correctly mounted. Viewed from below, the truck's chassis is
complete and undamaged. The per
