Clone for your consideration. This beautiful Chevelle is powered by
a 454ci V8 which has been bored out to 468ci. Power is sent to the
rear wheels through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 3.55
rear end. The motor fires right up without hesitation, idles
smoothly, and pulls hard.
Externally the car sports a beautiful blue color which is
contrasted nicely by the black convertible soft top. It rides on
Cragar S/S wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. The
Chevelle also has plenty of chrome exterior trim and overall has a
beautiful exterior appearance.
With front disc brakes, power steering, a new exhaust system, and
an aluminum radiator this Chevelle is ready to rock. The black
interior features newer seat covers and like the exterior is
accented with plenty of chrome trim. Inside the vehicle has been
tastefully modified with a GT steering wheel, under dash gauges,
and an aftermarket Kenwood radio. Overall, the interior is
wonderfully clean and provides a very comfortable ride. An
additional feature of this vehicle is the convertible soft top that
can be lowered to make for an awesome top-down cruising
experience.
For 1968, the Chevelle got an all-new distinctly sculpted body with
tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. The car adopted a
long-hood/short-deck profile with a high rear-quarter "kick-up" and
hardtop coupes featured a semi-fastback, flowing roofline. The
'68's also rode a new sportier 112-inch wheelbase and tire tread
width grew an inch front and rear.
