Vehicle Description
Say hello to the Terminator. It was the nickname Ford gave the 2003
Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible. This was the debut year for a
unique car that had both a supercharged V8 and a fully independent
suspension. That means this pony car is fast, sharp, and absolutely
dominant. That's why this one-owner car has the low mileage, great
care, and correct paperwork that you get on an instant
collectible.
This car has an awesome style. Deep vents in the hood, a special
spoiler, plenty of coiled Cobra badging, and big exhaust tips give
it an attitude from every angle. The Torch Red paint has a terrific
glow you want in a sunshine-friendly convertible. It's the
factory-correct color and factory-applied finish. It continues to
look so good today because you have a car that has averaged less
than 750 miles annually. We also like the bright red because it
provides a nice contrast to draw attention to this car's dark side.
The front end has a special bumper that lets this monster inhale
deeper, the headlights have smoked backgrounds, and you've got a
crisp black convertible top. It creates the right total style for a
very mean machine like this.
While we like how the roof added to the dark overall package, with
the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an even more
attractive interior. The graphite and gray still go with the dark
style, but it adds sophistication to go with the speed. These are
leather seats with suede-like inserts that have an upper-class
appearance, especially because the whole interior looks and feels
brand new. This is loaded with the best features, like power
windows, a power driver's seat, power locks, keyless entry/alarm,
cruise control, dual front airbags, ABS, and a premium AM/FM CD
changer stereo. And it's always nice to have cold-blowing air
conditioning in a convertible. And the SVT Cobra adds special
pieces, like the white-faced gauges, upgraded pedals, and Cobras
embossed in the seatbacks. And the only upgrade you're likely to
notice in the full stock-style setup is a roll bar, and that's just
a nice piece to add strength to the chassis in this true driver's
drop-top.
The Terminator name has everything to do with the motor, and this
low mileage example loves to keep it clean to put on full display.
The DOHC 4.6-liter V8 is a 32-valve motor with the Special Vehicle
Team (SVT) added an Eaton supercharger on top. And don't forget to
point out the SVT plaque on the valve cover that tells you who
built the specialty motor (see, Mercedes AMG cars are not the only
ones who have this!) You take full control of this full 390
horsepower power package thanks to the six-speed manual
transmission. And speaking of control, the SVT cars are the only
fourth-gen Mustangs that came from the factory with a fully
independent rear suspension. Plus, a massive four-wheel power disc
brake package and grippy BF Goodrich gForce Sport tires on the
special SVT 17-inch wheels mean you won't be able to resist adding
to the low odometer.
The sale comes complete with the SVT certificate, original window
sticker, and paperwork from the Mustang 40th anniversary that this
car attended. This is the one-owner convertible that you can really
tell has been treated as a collectible from day one. So if you're
looking to own a legacy, don't miss this Cobra. Call today!!!
