#s matching driveline, factory red-red! Same owner the last 26
years. Older body off frame restoration. Very clean, honest,
unabused Corvette.
EXTERIOR: This Vette looks sharp. 26 year old paint and it's
beautiful! I don't see any damage or repairs. The body gaps are
excellent. Repainted it's original Rally Red color. It is smooth
and glossy. You have to get up close and look for flaws before
you'll find any. In front the bumper and grill is shiny and fit
nice. The stainless trim around the windshield is polished. In back
the bumpers, license plate surround and emblems are shiny. The
Firestone tires don't have many miles. 15x8 rally wheels have
straight, shiny trim. The door jambs are clean. Weather strips and
window seals are nice. The black convertible top is in excellent
shape, the weather strips were replaced.
INTERIOR: Born with red interior. Very nice, unabused shape
throughout. The seats are in excellent condition. Door panels look
mint. The red carpet front to back looks great. The dash area is
nice. No cracks, gauges are clean, lenses are clear. The steering
wheel is excellent. The center console is detailed up real nice, it
has the correct shifter with the reverse lock out. A factory retro
stereo fits right in the factory location. The interior lights
work. Heater controls, vents, plastic trim, red GM seat belts,
visors are all very nice.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 327-300 hp. The casting codes are
correct, the vin is stamped on the pad. The motor looks all stock
including the manifolds, valve covers, new reproduction chrome air
cleaner, original ignition shield. It has proper fuel filter,
Harrison expansion tank, correct shroud and fan. Recently the
alternator was rebuilt, water pump and hoses were replaced.
UNDERSIDE: It is an older body off frame restoration. Under the car
is not detailed for show but it looks clean and proper. It has
independent suspension front and back. Bottom of the motor is clean
Chevy Orange. It has the lower ignition shielding. The Muncie M-20
4-speed is correct. It has correct 3.36 posi rear end. The frame is
solid. The fiberglass floors look clean, spare tire carrier is
complete. Factory type exhaust with new mufflers and tips. It has
disc brakes at all 4 wheels, e-brake cables are hooked up.
Obviously a factory red-red Vette roadster with a 4-speed and #s
matching is very desirable. After my inspection I sincerely believe
this is a very honest car that will treat the next owner real well.
Heck, it was good to the previous owner for 26 years!
