This 409 Impala SS is ready to go ! 425 Horsepower Dual 4bbl's Factory 409 , QB coded block , COMPLETE REBUILD , bored .030 over , rebuilt heads , with date coded parts , including springs and valves , standard bearings , ALL OE PARTS . Carbs are NOT original but replaced by like non-matching number carbs . Could not find build sheet but purchased from original purchaser's family in Moses Lake , Washington nearly 40 years ago as a true 409 car , not much cloning going on then . It does have correct fuel lines and fuel tank , correct factory emblems and the correct factory 7,000 R.P. M. tachometer . Factory aluminum intake , factory chrome dual-snorkel air cleaner , OE Ram Horn exhaust headers with all new exhaust , did use non-stock Turbo mufflers for a great sound ! Factory tilt wheel too !
Body was taken down to bare metal , it's first repaint , removing all of the original lacquer paint , very minor rust repair on driver's side lower rocker , repaired correctly with metal , never any collision damage . Frame was blasted and painted but not a body-off restoration . Has new OEM , not repops , grille , eyebrows, hood and trunk spears , rear antenna , mirror and door handles . New windshield with polished stainless moldings . New front and rear bumpers , brakes and shocks .
Interior is original except for the door panels and carpet , original bucket seats , rear seat , console , dash , visors , kick panels , side window glass with rust -free frames . It is a new German convertible cloth top with new pads , new power top motor and pump , new well and top boot . Trunk is complete with all original jack and lug wrench and mat , spare tire too . Stock 14" wheels with stock spinner hubcaps and narrow white wall tires , just like 1964 ! Triple Black car , Paint code "A" Tuxedo Black , "AA" Black Top , Code "815" Black Interior . 3:55 Posi rear end .
Have original manuals and dealer accessory ordering book . Truly a fantastic example of the legendary Impala SS , " She's real fine , my 409 " !!
