While there are plenty of C2 Corvettes on the market, there aren’t many like this 1964 model.  With an NCRS Top Flight award from 2016 and an all-original 300hp 4-speed drivetrain, this mid-year distinguishes itself from the average driver.  It also represents a very rare factory color combination with a Saddle Tan exterior over a White with Saddle two-tone interior.  Throw in nice features like power steering, knock-off wheels, backup lights, and a stainless chambered exhaust and it will get the attention of any Corvette fan.

This gorgeous C2 has an assembly date of March 24, 1964.  As a code 932AA Saddle Tan car it showcases the rarest color for this model year (even more rare than Tuxedo Black).  Saddle Tan was only offered for two years and is not often seen, which is a shame as this handsome color gives the C2 lines a very distinguished look.  This example was judged on August 13, 2016 at the Southeast NCRS Summer Meet in Atlanta where it received a Top Flight award with a total score of 95.4.  It received a subsequent freshening in 2019 which included replacing many mechanical components.  The wheels were also changed to cast aluminum knock-offs including the spare.  The body panels and gaps all look excellent while the bonding strips appear original and untouched.  Everything is solid and complete underneath as well.

The entire drivetrain is original to the car.  The engine is the optional 327ci 300hp package (L75).  Its stamping pad shows an assembly date of March 11, 1964 with the correct RD suffix code.  The pad also includes the matching partial VIN (4114018).  The Muncie 4-speed transmission is also original and has the same partial VIN stamping.  And finally, the rear end has an assembly date of March 16, 1964 with a CJ code (3.08 Positraction).  The car is in excellent mechanical condition with many new parts throughout the brakes, power steering, and suspension systems.  It was also fitted with a nice sounding chambered exhaust done in stainless steel.

The White with Saddle interior is also quite rare and is a perfect accent to the exterior, adding more character than the typical Saddle-only cabin.  The cabin has a factory 1964 Corvette look throughout.  The horn, heater/defroster, and parking brake are all functional.  So are the low / high beams, turn signals, dash lights, courtesy lights, and optional backup lights.  The headlight motors have full operation and the AM/FM radio has nice sound.  Even the clock works with an original style movement.

This is a quality mid-year Corvette that presents an excellent blend of condition, drivability, originality, and rarity.  Whether you want to take it to shows or just run down to the drive-in on a nice summer night, it will give you plenty to smile about.  And as a C2 coupe it represents a solid automotive investment as well.
