Absolutely fantastic 1973 MGB. This car literally runs and drives
as new. It has been mechanically overhauled including the engine
and the overdrive unit.
The previous owner purchased a very nice rust free straight MGB and
proceeded to throw money at the car repairing or replacing anything
he did not like. I'll provide a brief description and then a list
of recent improvements.
The paint is very nice, the interior is like new, it has a perfect
canvas soft top, all of the Chrome is excellent to new as are the
wire wheels and the tires. The engine compartment is neat and
tidy.
The following things have been replaced with new or rebuilt:
Complete engine overhaul $15,000
New overdrive unit
New ignition switch
New plug wires
New door handles
New brake pads
New bumpers front and rear
New luggage rack
New canvas top
New chrome wire wheels and tires
All new suspension bushings
New carpet
New mats
Seats and door panels
New seat belts
Complete new windshield assembly
Belts and hoses
New oil cooler and lines
New fuel tank, pump, filter and sender
New lights and bulbs
New clutch slave
New antenna
New water pump
New electric cooling fan
Leather wrapped three spoke steering wheel
Stainless threshold plates
Instrument service including new bulbs
Aluminum valve cover
Aluminum radiator
Complete exhaust system and manifold
New shock absorbers
... And now you see why it drives like a new MGB :-)
While it is not a 100-point show car it is the nicest, cleanest,
straightest driver you could possibly hope for.
You can find them cheaper, but it will be difficult to find one
nicer.
