locations. Chevrolet production would move from the old St. Louis

and would use the latest automated manufacturing processes, thereby
improving quality control, especially in paint application and new
clear coat finishing processes. Out of the 40,606 Corvettes
produced in 1981, only 8,995 were produced in Bowling Green, KY.
