style. €" Ford Bronco: A History of Ford's Legendary 4x4, Todd
Zuercher. Ford.com describes the last of the big Broncos: In
addition to its several key safety innovations, the fifth (and
final, for years to come) generation of Bronco was famously easy on
the eyes. This latecomer to the fold featured a more aerodynamic
design, plus a host of other stylish updates, both inside and out.
Dubbed the 'Original Body Style (OBS)' by Bronco insiders,
Generation 5 boasted cleaner lines-particularly on the front
end-than earlier series. Designers further enhanced the
aerodynamics, which included streamlined exterior mirrors.
Accentuating its fresh profile, Bronco came with an exciting, new
collection of paint colors and combinations-rumored to be some of
the most stunning of its 30-year run. Offered here is a 1994 Ford
Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition in Deep Forest Green over tan. This
factory color combination is beloved by Bronco fans. Long owned in
Florida, the SUV's odometer shows 149,122 (or roughly 5,300 miles
per-year on average), and its overall condition inside and out is
excellent. The Bronco's original factory-applied exterior
paint-including the lower-body tan paint, ivory-color fiberglass
roof, and bodyside pinstripe-all show no damage, fading, or
deterioration overall. The rich green-and-tan combination was among
the most-favored color choices of the five offered in the Eddie
Bauer optional trim package. (To best assess the quality of the
paint and trim finishes, please be sure to view the close-up
photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Body-panel fit
is straight and at or above factory specifications. The
accident-free Carfax is borne out by the absence of any evidence of
body-panel damage. Chrome trim-including the desirable,
last-of-the-big-Broncos grille, bumpers, side-view mirrors,
aftermarket step-up entry-assist, aftermarket tailpipe extension
and more-remains in excellent condition, with the door handles
showing light patina from normal use. The brushed-metal trim on the
tailgate is in good condition. The spare tire is mounted on a
swing-away rear carrier. Ford-oval emblems fore and aft remain
mounted, as do Bronco Eddie Bauer front-fender emblems. Cabin glass
and lighting lenses are clear and free of cracks. The Bronco has
been slightly lifted. Factory-style, 8-hole wheels (with 4x4 center
caps) are mounted with newer General® Grabber A/T 30x9.5 LT
raised-white-letter tires (the spare is a BFGoodrich® tire).
Inside, the tan interior shows similarly well. Styled door trim,
including the lower carped surfaces, is free of unusual wear. Tan
cabin and cargo-area carpeting is in well-maintained condition, as
is the textured-cloth original tan upholstery on the front bucket
seats (with armrests), and on the removable, foldable rear bench.
(Front seat cushions show some minor imperfections.) The black,
multi-function steering wheel (with driver's airbag) frames a
complete instrument cluster (including tachometer, part of the
Eddie Bauer package) with push-button controls for the power
tailgate window and the 4-wheel-drive system. The shift lever for
the automatic transmission is column-mounted. Options include power
windows (including tailgate window), cruise control, power door
locks, power steering, and power brakes. A replacement audio head
unit with Bluetooth® capability is mounted in the factory-radio
location,
