Originally sold by Anderson Ford of Kingsport, Tennesse, this
highly original, rust free 86,000 mile time capsule has matching
numbers, 100% original paint, interior and top. The previous owner
purchased the vehicle from the estate of the original owner in
2018. Original documentation includes the window sticker, 1966
sales invoice and original vehicle title, and the original keys and
handwritten maintenance notes accompany the car. The body is
finished in Emberglo with a power white convertible top and
Parchment vinyl upholstery. It is powered by a factory optioned
C-code 289ci V8 equipped with a two-barrel carburetor. The power is
directed through a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The
interior features bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in
Parchment vinyl with Emberglo trim accents and carpet. The
dashboard is wrapped in a two-tone Emberglo/Parchment finish with a
three-spoke steering wheel, a Ford AM radio, and an aftermarket FM
tuner. The instrument cluster includes gauges for fuel level, oil
pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature along with a five-digit
odometer showing just over 86k miles. The original 1966 sales
invoice shows all specifications and options with total price of
$2,909. Opportunities to own a car this original in a rare one year
color don't come along often. This incredible 1966 Mustang is in
excellent original condition and runs and drives strong.
