Vehicle Description
No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you the real, deal, and
highly optioned 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500 Convertible! Its
authenticity and province have been cataloged with the Shelby
registry with documented mileage. According to the Elite Marti
Report, Only 402 were ever made and only 1 out of 9 ever configured
as she sits here today. The build date of this Shelby is February
29th, 1968, Shelby No. 2902.
This very early 1968 Shelby GT500 is packed with Shelby historical
significance, not only as the first production year that Shelby
built convertibles but also for its long-term duty as a Shelby
engineering vehicle. And when you think about America's most
revered pony car - your mind is set on this quintessential piece of
automotive history!
The GT500 threw fuel on the muscle car horsepower wars not only by
adding power but also by introducing the most iconic and aggressive
Mustang styling ever created. Wide, functional hood scoops, revised
grill opening with fog lights, air scoops, new deck lid, taillight
design, and of course the GT500 ornamentation sprinkled throughout.
The white GT500 rocker accents complement the Highland Green paint
and matches the white power convertible top with a 2-piece glass.
Not only did Shelby engineer fast cars - they knew all about
styling and designing!
As we lift up the fiberglass hood, you'll be greeted with the
high-performance Ford 428-4V GT500 Engine mated to the Toploader
4-Speed Manual Transmission! Power is sent to the BF Goodrich White
Letter Radial T/A Tires through the proven Ford 9" Rear End with
Posi. An absolute blast rowing through each gear and cruising
through town or your local car show! It is also equipped with power
brakes, power steering, and the competition handling package. So no
matter where you go with this Shelby GT500 Convertible, you'll feel
in total control!

DISCLAIMER:
Although this car looks absolutely stunning, please understand that
this is still a 50 year old car with imperfections as it wasn't
restored yesterday and has some mileage since the build. And due to
our inventory size, we are unable to drive every vehicle for long
distances. We do 40-60 miles between inspections, test drives, the
video, etc. We cannot guarantee that every gauge, light, window,
horn, option, function, etc. will work as it should. Please check
your local state inspection requirements. We do our best to inspect
these vehicles in every detail and note any imperfections in the
ad. As with all classic cars, it will need odds and ends down the
road as you begin to drive it more often! Many times, these vintage
vehicles can sit for long periods of time and seals harden and
gaskets may begin to leak once you begin to drive them. However,
this will continue to be a sought-after classic car that you will
be proud to own and very happy to drive in! The information
contained within this ad is solely for convenience. The description
is opinion only and should not be considered a complete description
of any or all faults; it may not be relied upon nor taken as fact
or otherwise a representation or warranty of any sort. We describe
these vehicles to the best of our knowledge.
