Vehicle Description

-Oro Longchamps with "Naturale" Tan leather interior, Beige carpeting and Black convertible top, Restored, 3.0 liter Colombo V12 engine, 4-speed with factory overdrive, Original colors, Matching numbers, Factory hardtop, Documented by Marcel Massini, the 157th of 200 originally manufactured.

In 1959, Ferrari would unveil their newest open car at the Paris Salon Auto Show, the 250 GT Series II Pininfarina Cabriolet.

This particular Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Cabriolet was delivered through legendary Ferrari importer, Luigi Chinetti Motors, New York, NY/USA. Its first registered owner was a Mr. Chalik, a United States resident. As documented by M. Massini, this 250's early history is unknown until circa 1985 when owned by Mr. J. Thomen a resident of Anaheim, California. At the time, the 250 has 38,000 original miles. Reappearing in 1992, this 250 GT had been cosmetically restored and was now painted Rosso Corsa with Tan interior. In 1997 - 1998, this 250 GT was offered for sale by Mr. Tom Arra, Charlie Falks Auto, Clarendon Hill, Illinois.

Subsequently sold, the 250 was now in the ownership of Mr. James Berman and shown at the 5th Annual Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance, Edgemont, Pennsylvania. It was kept in the care of Mr. Berman until 2002 when well-known and respected Ferrari dealer, Mr. E Karam had taken the 250 on trade. In 2002, this 250 was sold to its most recent ownership, a very good friend of Autosport Designs with a nice collection of rare automobiles. It has been in this ownership to date.

In 2004, this 250 GT started a relationship with Paul Russell and Company for routine maintenance and servicing. Owned and enjoyed in Rosso Corsa with Tan for many years, in 2016, it was decided to perform an extensive cosmetic restoration by Danny Bells, Great Barrington, MA. This restoration would take approximately two-and-a-half-year at which time, the 250 was stripped to bare metal, no evidence of previous rust or accident damage was found and then returned to its original color of Oro Longchamps, the same way in which it left the Pininfarina works in 1961. All trim and brightwork was returned to show quality and the interior, boot and convertible top were all redone by well-respected trimmer, Johann Merhoffer. It was now in superb concours condition and ready to sort all mechanicals.

In 2020, the 250 was given to Paul Russell and Company for an engine rebuild, mechanical restoration as well as rebuild of the gearbox and its overdrive, complete brake system refurbishment, suspension overhaul and refurbishment and the rebuild and reseal of the steering box. Once completed, the 250 was road tested, dialed in and prepared for final delivery.

Currently, this 250 GT PF Series II Cabriolet is being offered in restored form and from what was a 42,000 original mile example prior to its recent restoration.

Offered with its original factory tools and, jack, the 250 GT is ready for immediate use on the concours lawn as well as eligible for select vintage rallies- tours around the world.
