Vehicle Description
This 1964 Dodge Dart is a cool classic with a sporty sense of
style. It's in the bold paint, GT upgrades, and correct V8
upgrade.
We love this generation Dart because it showed off how smaller cars
could still have big style. Those big rounded headlights lead the
way, and echoes of that curve can be seen all the way down the
side. And the rear says goodbye to the tailfin era with just a hint
of a blade as it melts into the step-down trunk. This was an
intricate car to produce, and so it's impressive just to find one
as straight and clean as this one today. The gold paint was an
upgrade later in life, and the nice gloss makes sure this Dodge can
show off its curves in the sunlight. And you can help but get a
sporty feeling from this one with all the cool details, like the
full-length trim with black insert, GT badging, and ultra-desirable
pillar-less hardtop profile. They even upgraded the wheels to
iconic Cragar SS units.
The interior has the right GT look everywhere from the door panels
to the front bucket seats. And don't you just love the classic
Dodge insignias in the seatbacks of both rows? The dash, steering
wheel, and gauges all continue this stock appearance. Even the AM
radio is still working! It's a highly stock style, and that's a
good thing, because that means you get the right distinct touches,
like the push-button transmission.
The engine bay shows terrific care with smooth color-matched inner
walls and a tidy setup that showcases the upgraded red block in the
middle. The 273 cubic-inch V8 is a terrific motor to have because
this coupe has a ton of period-correct authenticity, this was the
largest displacement you could get in a Dart for 1964. Overall,
this was built to be an easy cruiser. That's why you have features
like power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, modern
Goodyear tires, and upgraded front discs.
