Vehicle Description
This one was stored away to be an extraordinary car. After all, the
1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra was the debut of the new power-packed
DOHC 4.6-liter V8, and this is a very exclusive color only used to
launch this special pony car. So if you know how extraordinary this
one is, then you'll get excited about this 21k mile modern
classic.
The reason why this one can grab your attention so quickly is that
the original Mystic Clearcoat Metallic is a special color-shifting
paint that was only offered in '96. Ford specifically announced
only 2,000 examples before shutting the books on this chameleon
paint. And with so few miles on this car (averaging under 850 miles
annually,) you know the gloss it has in the pictures is no
accident. In fact, the largest signs of use in the paint are just
from it getting sipped down over the years. And this one even has
an upgraded set of 18-inch polished wheels. Besides the awesome
color/shine, Ford's Special Vehicle Team made sure this one was an
all-around sports car stunner. This includes the unique fascia,
hood scoops, and coiled snake badges.
The black leather interior has the clean style of a low-mileage
car. This car has crossed the 25-year old threshold and that makes
it eligible for vintage car benefits in many states. But you won't
know it's a classic from the long list of modern features. It
starts with well-bolster bucket seats up front, and yours even
power adjusts to the ideal driving position. Plus, power windows,
power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, the premium
factory AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo, and ice-cold air conditioning
will keep everyone happy. But the driver is the one who always has
priority. White-faced analog gauges, a leather-wrapped wheel, and a
five-speed stick were also all part of the performance package you
want in a Cobra.
Since this car has been so preserved thus far, it should be no
surprise that this shows a stock-style and well-kept engine bay.
This was the debut year for the DOHC 4.6-liter motor, and its 305
hp output really returned the Mustang Cobra to top-dog status.
While this is an exceptionally preserved example, we know it will
be hard for you to resist adding to the odometer. After all, this
was the pet project for Ford's performance-loving engineers, so
they tuned the suspension for enthusiasts to have fun. Helping
corral all this performance is the power steering, sway bars front
& rear, and massive four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with the owner's manual packet, this is the dream of a
modern Mustang collector. If that's you, don't let this rare
opportunity slip away. Call now!
