This 1963 Ford Country Squire Woody Wagon is a V8-powered restored
classic that has a very clean and vintage style. It looks like the
kind of car you would have spent your childhood riding in the back,
and that's because the consignor did in this actual car!
We're told this wagon has a cool story where the consignor's father
bought this wagon brand new in 1963. It was sold off in later
years, like most cars were, but he tracked it down years later.
When you have an emotional connection with a vehicle you want to
make sure it looks right. That's why the factory-correct Raven
Black was given a high-quality respray only about two years ago. So
it continues to have nice gloss, and that makes for a quality
background for the hallmark wood-like trim. You can tell there was
a solid investment here by the way the glossy and detailed veneers
really deliver on your best nostalgia. In fact with the big chrome
bumpers, classic roof rack, and wire wheel covers, the full package
does a terrific job of turning back the clock to when you saw the
world from the back seat.
The bold red interior is factory-correct, and it continues the time
capsule feeling. You'll love the plush carpeting, distinct white
headliner, classic dash, and premium Galaxie 500 trim in the fresh
upholstery. And there are terrific details like the working AM
radio and dome light. In fact, the only upgrade you'll notice is
the cup holder center console. It's nicer for a drive but fully
removable. There were Galaxie convertibles that were less expensive
than a premium wagon like this, and so you have distinctly premium
features, like the power rear window. And speaking of the rear
hatch, it's ideal for everything from sitting on the back of during
the car shows to displaying the awards we know you're going to win
with this one.
Under the hood is quite an interesting powerhouse. 1963 was the
debut year for the now-famous 289 cubic-inch V8. This displacement
upgrade was a mid-year offering, and so it has rarity. Not only
does the VIN on this wagon list it as a factory 289 car, but also
the consignor believes this is the original powerhouse. That's why
they took extra time making sure it continues to have a stock
presentation with bright white valve covers, a matching air
grabber, windshield washer bag, and even the correct-style Holley
dual-barrel carburetor. And the ultra-tidy style also lets you know
it has been maintained properly to remain a strong runner. There's
even an upgrade to a dual exhaust to give you a touch of V8 tune.
Its real appeal is how it floats down the road like an easy cruiser
wagon, and that's thanks to features like power steering, an
automatic transmission, and touring tires.
Complete with the owner's manual, this is the classic wagon with
the kind of impressive presentation that could only come from a car
that was restored like a cherished family heirloom. Call now!
