Zoom Classic Cars is excited to present this beautiful example of
British motor history. This 1953 MG TD is powered by a 1,250cc
inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Seller
states that the motor was refurbished in the mid to late 2000's.
Estimated mileage since that time is 49,700. Equipment includes
driving lights, chrome bumpers with overriders, a trunk-mounted
spare. The exterior was refinished in its current shade of red in
the neighborhood of 2015 and features a black soft top. Additional
equipment includes outboard fenders with running boards, driving
lights, a fold-down windshield with wind wings as well as chrome
bumpers with overriders. Close-up photos of the body, lenses, and
trim can be viewed in the gallery. This TD sports steel 15? wheels
with chrome hubcaps paired with Goodrich Redline radial tires. A
matching spare with a chrome cover is mounted on the rear. TD's
came equipped with independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion
steering, and four-wheel drum brakesThe interior was refurbished in
2020 and features seats trimmed in red leather with matching door
panels and carpets. Amenities include a dash-mounted rearview
mirror, fender mirrors, door pockets, chrome grab handles for the
driver and passenger, and a carpeted shelf behind the seats.A
cream-colored banjo-style steering wheel compliments the red dash.
The instrumentation is nonfunctioning at this time. The 1,250cc
XPAG inline-four was factory rated at 54 horsepower and 64 lbs-ft
of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed
manual transmission. The owner is reluctantly parting with this
beauty as fatherly responsibilities to a 1- and 3-year-old preclude
him from spending the time deserved of this fine piece of
automotive history. The car is located on the Eastern Shore of MD
and is being offered at $21,500 with a clear MD title. For more
