Vehicle Description
1972 PONTIAC Grand Prix
Why This Car Is Special
The Grand Prix is a line of automobiles produced in its first
generation by the Pontiac Division of General Motors from 1962 to
2002 for coupes.
This 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix we have here at Skyway Classics in a
great color combination of tan over yellow is a great example of
the car that neatly combined the 400 cubic inch V8 with luxury
features and wrapped it all in some of the best Pontiac styling of
the decade.
It was a one-owner car till last year and it has a lot of the
original paperwork including the Vehicle Warranty, Protect-O-Plate,
and Window Sticker.
Mechanical
It has the original numbers matching 400 cubic inch engine rated at
250 horsepower backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. It is in
the very detailed and correct engine compartment and has all the
factory correct looking Pontiac Blue painted block, valve covers,
and intake, Quadrajet carb, exhaust heater tube, and black factory
air cleaner.
It runs and drives flawless and you will be able to enjoy your
nights out in this beauty as it has power steering, power brakes,
and factory air-conditioning and rides on factory Pontiac 5-spoke
Rally Wheels and white wall tires.
The dual exhaust system has that muted muscular tone that suits the
Grand Prix just fine as it rides down the road.
Interior
Our Pontiac has a plus cream front split bench seat with console
interior with the matching rear seat covered in the Morrokide
upholstery, custom carpet and floor mats, great matching door
panels, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Power Windows, Air
Conditioning, tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, futuristic Pontiac dash
with the factory gauges, Factory AM/FM stereo radio, Remote Control
Deck Lid, visor mirrors, seat belts, and Soft-Ray tinted Glass.
Exterior
Our 72 had the minor styling revisions that included a new
cross-hatch grille up front and triple cluster taillights in the
back. Ours is painted in the original paint of factory Monarch
Yellow showcasing the handsome long nose/short deck profile,
V-shaped grille, steeply sloping rear window, all makes it look
fast even sitting still.
Chrome was still a big feature in 1972, and the bumpers, trim, and
lenses all look great as does the Tan Cordoba vinyl roof, side
trim, and pinstriping along the sides.
The undersides and the chassis are as clean as the top as is the
trunk with its full-size spare tire, wheel, and trunk mat.
Conclusion
This all original 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix we have here at Skyway
Classics is exceptionally clean, has a ton of originality with
classic looks and performance, and a killer combo of style, luxury,
and performance to gain the attention anywhere you cruise to.
