This is an actual 1938 all steel coupe. The colors are stunning,
biggest reason I bought this one. Everyone seems to agree, I've
heard several compliments on the colors. Aside from being an
attention grabber it is a very comfortable cruiser.
EXTERIOR: Very clean look with all the moldings, handles and chrome
removed. The bumpers were even deleted. The license plate flips
down automatically when the ignition is on. Doors open by remote.
The body is straight, no rust or damage. It is all metal including
fenders and running boards. The paint has a smooth, high gloss
finish. The dark metallic blue is a stunning contrast to the bright
white. It has original style glass lense headlights with the turn
signals built in. The tear drop taillights are LED. New smoked
glass, the windshield cranks out. It rolls on 17 inch chrome Foose
wheels.
INTERIOR: Just as attractive as the outside. Completely upholstered
in ultra leather. The seats and door panels are done to match each
other with blue suede inserts. Comfortable bucket seats, the driver
side is power, they both recline. The headliner, kick panels,
behind the seat is all upholstered. There is billet trim on the
doors. Gray carpet on the floor with upholstered show mats and a
Locar shifter. A polished tilt column has a Lecarra leather wheel.
Clean painted dash with a set of white Faria gauges and matched set
of knobs. Down below the is a custom made panel with a V8 embossed
logo and Vintage Air controls. The Kenwood stereo has an auxiliary
plug, 6x9 speakers and an amplifier.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 350 motor runs smooth. On top is a polished
intake, Edelbrock carb and an HEI ignition system. It has a set of
headers too. The valve covers, a/c compressor and alternator are
polished. It has Vintage Air heat and a/c system. The engine bay is
smooth metal painted gloss blue.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's been boxed and upholstered to match the
interior. Under the trunk lid is upholstered. The floor is
carpeted. Hidden behind the rear panel is the battery, speakers and
an amplifier. It has a billet support bracket.
UNDERSIDE: The body has been off the frame for restoration. Clean
metal floors are painted gloss blue, the chassis is clean satin
black. Upfront it has a Mustang ll independent suspension with coil
over shocks and a rack & pinion steering. In back it has leaf
springs and shocks. Custom dual exhaust system has stainless
mufflers and chrome flared tips. It has a polyethylene fuel tank.
The brake system has been redone, disc in front. Looking up at the
motor it has a clean oil pan, high torque starter and the fuel pump
looks new. It is using a turbo 350 automatic trans and in back is a
10 bolt rear end.
About 15,000 miles since built. This is a driver that looks
amazing. If compliments make you uncomfortable than you should
consider a different car!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
