The 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible was known as The Terminator
because it gives you a powerful supercharged V8 and the
sharp-handling fully independent suspension to enjoy it. It's a
rare package that already has the attention of collectors. But this
one should also have the attention of true drivers thanks to
investment in the transmission, suspension, and upgraded 530 rwhp
motor that all make this one The Terminator's terminator.
The deep black paint kicks off this car's dark heart attitude, and
it also is your introduction to the solid investments all around
this car. That's because the factory-correct color was resprayed in
2017 to make sure this convertible has a deep luster in the
sunlight. In fact, this is a two-owner car with a long-term second
owner, and so that's why you're going to see so much personal
attention. Ford revised the Cobra look to include a beefy front
bumper, new rear fascia, full-width rear spoiler, and a heat
extractor hood for the new beast underneath. And while this is an
exceptionally dark total package (especially with the tinted
windows) there is still room for brightwork. But these polished
pieces just attract more attention to performance pieces, like the
SVT 17-inch alloys, large exhaust tips, snake-bitten badges, and
the COBRA lettering in the rear bumper. So while this one has an
upgraded power package, it also just gives the first impression of
a great modern classic.
The two-tone gray interior continues the car's intimidating
darkness, and at the same time, adds some sophistication. So You'll
love taking down the top to show off this well-preserved package.
This is loaded with amenities like power windows, a power
convertible top, power locks, power mirrors, power steering,
keyless entry, dual airbags, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with
USB input. And cold-blowing air conditioning is always attractive
in a drop-top. The power driver's seat and tilt steering column
ensure the right driving position. And the white-faced SVT gauges
are supplemented by well-matched auxiliary readouts to tell you
this speedy pony is extra special.
At first glance, people will marvel at the 4.6-liter supercharged
V8 that is the hallmark of this generation Cobra. But those who
know these cars will look at the supercharger, pulleys, AN
fittings, and other details that look a bit different. We have a
$15k+ receipt from 2007 documenting a short block, Whipple
supercharger, and fully built motor that has made 530 rear wheel
horsepower on the dyno (that's over 35 percent more than stock!)
The six-speed manual transmission was rebuilt in 2012 to continue
to give you firm control over the full power package. While these
were already awesome for the unique independent rear suspension,
this one takes the handling up another few notches with upgrades
like subframe connectors and tubular A-arms. These also came with a
four-wheel power disc brake package, and there were even new
coilovers installed about 500 miles ago.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, maintenance records,
and the dyno sheet. This special build takes an already awesome
sports car and makes it into a true exotic. So don't miss this
deal. Call today!!!
