Vehicle Description
A straight body, cool color, loaded interior, and true 4x4 prowess
all come together on this 1991 GMC Jimmy 1500 4x4. And the
fuel-injected V8 and overdrive transmission make this useful for
the street or trail.
The paint in this is absolutely awesome Black Sapphire is one of
the best GMC colors from the 1990s. It appears black in low light,
but when the sunlight hits it, the deep blue undertones are
released. This color was part of an original two-tone, but they
upgraded to a full Black Sapphire machine - including the hardtop -
with a high-quality respray later in life. So it just seems like
this 4x4 loves to be out in nature just so the paint can radiate in
the sunlight. Beautiful chrome bumpers, classic rally wheels, side
steps, tinted windows, and impressively straight body panels make
this an upper-class classic. And while the badging has been deleted
on the body, they did change the branding to Chevrolet K5,
including the grille. The odometer does reflect the full mileage,
but as you look over the full vehicle, you'll see the right
investments that have kept this one looking and feeling attractive.
And we all know the GM trucks and SUVs from this era are a bedrock
of robustness when they are treated right. And this one was not
just given added style on the outside. After all, the lifted stance
not only adds intimidation, but also it makes this a true
go-anywhere 4x4.
This was the final year for this body style, which means this one
has some of the most creature comforts of this iconic generation.
You recognize this the moment you feel the relaxing high-back
bucket seat. The plush cloth feels excellent on these, and it's the
same way on the rear seats and door panels. The velour is new, and
the carpeting is, too. A grippy steering wheel, tilt column, and
factory center console means you'll love long trips behind the
wheel. Plus, the power windows, power locks, and cruise control
make this feel loaded. There are also nice upgrades like the thick
rubber floor mats and an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth. The
sale even comes with components to upgrade the air conditioning. So
there's a lot of attraction here. But we really know your true
reason for loving a Jimmy like this is the idea that on the right
day, you can remove a few bolts and have a complete open rear
section for a very cool convertible pickup.
Under the hood is a fuel-injected version of GM's robust 350
cubic-inch V8. The vehicle has been as well maintained as the
exterior and interior, and so you'll spot newer components, like
the coolant reservoir and master cylinder. It makes for a hardy and
torque-filled powerhouse. This teams up with the two-speed transfer
case, electronic locking front hubs, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain
tires for a true off-road machine. But as much as this all sounds
like a great way to drive through the dirt, the 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering, power brakes,
and front disc brakes make this a pleasant 4x4 for all
occasions.
Complete with owner's manual, this was the final year for a body
style that had a newly 20-year run. So this Jimmy had staying power
when new, and today there's growing admiration to go with that
sturdiness. Don't miss this 4x4 stunner, call today!
