Vehicle Description
The R51/3 was BMW's first true post-war motorcycle design,
following the prewar-derived R51/2. The R51/3 is an iconic
motorbike, with its 500-cc "boxer" twin set low in the frame and
beautifully elegant styling. Renowned then as now for its
exceptional refinement and comfort, the R51/3 features twin plunger
rear suspension, shaft drive, and a four-speed gearbox. This lovely
example is nicely presented in fine condition, in the classic black
livery with cream pinstripes, and is well suited to regular
enjoyment. A must-have for any collection of significant
motorcycles. This vehicle just arrived, and a full description is
