For Sale: 1983 Mazda RX-7 in Kentwood, Michigan

The Series II RX-7 by Mazda was referred to as the FB which was produced from 1981-1983 after the mandatory 17-digit VIN mandate as there was now a FB in every VIN for these cars. A couple minor cosmetic changes happened as well from the first generation which was 1978-1980 like integrated plastic covered bumpers, wide black rubber side molding, wraparound taillights, updated engine control components and a couple minor interior items. The biggest interior change was a reconfigured dash and the manual was moved closer to the driver, which is a nice improvement. What we have here is a RX-7 that checks all the boxes. This car was bought brand new by the current owner in Grand Rapids, MI at the Car Barn Mazda dealer. This RX-7has never ever been used in the Winter and was always a second summer only car. Furthermore, it has traveled under 70,000 miles in that nearly 40 years. It had been undercoated and rust-proofed at time of delivery and shows no rust or rot anywhere. The owner bought a second top which was glass, so the car comes with both the color matched moon roof and the glass one as well. The interior is one of the nicest I have seen on these cars, the paint is very presentable with some small swirl marks in the paint. The engine bay is tidy and free of any leaks. This RX-7 is a blast to drive as it goes down the road very nicely. It starts and idles easily, the tires are nice as are the brakes. The car has a lot of service records from day one, has the original owners manual, service contract, temp tag from when it was new, dealer paperwork, both keys and a clean carfax. This is a really nice example....
