This truly unique Ford Truck has been expertly built by a master craftsman and has many outstanding custom features. Equipped with a rebuilt old school flathead V8 with 2 single carbs, 350 Turbo automatic transmission and 9 inch rear-end. Truck also features many modern features for comfortable and smooth driving including power steering and power disc brakes. Every inch of this truck has been customized to some degree and the car was built thoughtfully to make for future modificatons very easy if desired. The build started with a 1947 1 1/2 Ton Dump Truck. Cab was removed and mounted onto a stock chassis from a 1983 Ford Ranger. From there the builder began a long list of cab modifications and building of the bed. The cab which is channeled 8 inches over the frame, was molded and chopped, doors were shortened 4 inches and every contour of the cab was expertely machined and molded into what you see today. The detailed metal work all around the cab is incredible as the builder spent thousands of hours making sure that everything lined up perfectly including the custom built rocker panels and running boards that were completely fabricated from spare parts. The custom bed is finished with beautiful teak and holly and the custom tailgate was fabricated from 3 separate tailgates with custom tail lights mounted beneath. Rear fenders are from a 1949 Chevy which have been widened. Custom dual exhaust exits below and also through side cut-outs and can be electronically controlled to change the exhaust sound! Other body modifications included frenched headlights and a custom grille. Gray fabric interior looks stock and features banjo steering wheel with Tilt column and VDO gauges with Tach. The truck has been lowered and has a very nice stance riding on BF goodrich radial T/A tires mounted on reverse rims with baby moon wheels. Lightly tinted glass all around. Custom Spectramaster Red paint including frame and undercarriage. This is an absolutely fantastic build that that runs, drives and sounds amazing. Workmanship must be seen to be fully appreciated.
