Vehicle Description
This 1964 Chevrolet C10 long bed truly represents the best of
everything vintage. It's a restored pickup that will transport you
over half a century back in time with one of the most honest and
clean presentations you'll see anywhere. And the reason why you can
find such a vintage pickup is that this is the first time it has
ever been offered outside of the original family. There's even an
impressive paperwork file to back it all up.
There have been some big investments all around this truck. The
aqua metallic paint sets the tone nicely for a 1960s machine. And
the quality of the respray really takes you back to when this one
first hit the road. This was given a full restoration in 2004 and
then refreshed again in 2019. You also see good work in the bright
white bumpers, matching grille, real wood on the bed floor, and
overall clean lines of the sheet metal. Big investments in these
areas don't take away from the classic feeling, and instead, it
just helps turn back the clock. This Chevy is really all about a
vintage kind of cool, right down to the great-looking wheel setup
with color-matched steelies and bright hub caps. The reason for
such a classic truck is because this one has a true family history.
It was purchased new in Bloomer, Wisconsin (only a few hours from
where this was built in Janesville.) This was a cruiser kind of
classic that was used for camping trips and wintering in Arizona.
The father passed the truck to his son, and then the son to his
nephew. So it's three generations all in the same family. This is
the first time this heirloom is leaving its family, and so you just
know it deserves the right kind of home for people who appreciate
real pickup charm.
Just like the exterior, the interior has been restored to be clean,
simple, and absolutely vintage. It has a simple bench seat with a
tasteful brown vinyl, durable rubber floor mats, and steel door
panels bring the interior together - as it should be for a true
classic truck. A nice two-spoke factory wheel gives you a clear
view of the original gauge panel and all your controls. There are
great vintage details everywhere from the working heater to the
dome light. And you will spot a few upgrades like the tach and
AM/FM radio. It's nothing radical, just the right additions to keep
this classic a nice cruiser.
True truck lovers will marvel at this ultra-clean and ultra-honest
engine bay. The 230 cubic-inch inline-six is a year-correct block,
and on a one-family vehicle, it's hard to believe this is anything
but original to the truck. So while we all know that Chevy's big
blocks will fit in this ample engine bay, that's not the point of
owning this one. It's simple, correct, and strong - just like the
best pickups once were. You take control of the motor with the
classic action of the column-shifted three-speed manual
transmission, and it gives you that unbeatable vintage easy
cruising feel. It's a smooth runner, and the extremely clean
undercarriage shows you just how thorough the restoration was.
Plus, it shows off some nice driving features like the trailing arm
rear suspension.
The sale comes complete with terrific documentation. This includes
the original dealer invoice, order form, other new truck paperwork,
owner's manual, fuel log, maintenance records, build receipts, and
even the two original keys. This is a vintage stunner, and so if
you love a true classic truck, you know you can't let this one get
away. Call today!!!
