You love it when someone invests the right money to build an
all-out street machine just like you would, and this incredible
1960 Ford Falcon Pro Street is a prime example. It's a complete
build with a powerful dual-quad supercharged V8, upgraded
suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, a custom interior, and
award-worthy slick paint. So it's obvious that no corners were cut
in its construction.
The rounded lines of the early Falcons always had an understated
sportiness that made them prime targets of the custom street
machine crowd. But while a lightweight car makes for an awesome
performance build, the true key to this one is all its overall
commitment to quality that goes with the asphalt-eating power.
Rendered in an awesome Candy Brandywine, it has the gloss and shine
that comes from investing in a good product and a professional hand
applying it. The metallic glow combines with the smooth clearcoat
to show off the good sheet metal and the chrome bumper complement
the overall shine. So yes, this is a memorable machine for far more
than just the big motor popping out of the hood, side exhaust tips,
and the stance of the huge rear tires.
The interior is done with race-ready sensibilities, but it has the
right stylish look, too. It's in the way you have a nice maroon and
cream two-tone that's intertwined in places like the door panels
and rear carpeting with contrast piping. But what makes this
awesome are the competition-grade pieces, like the 8-point roll
cage that extends through the trunk to protect the fuel cell. And
the back seats are sacrificed to fit the tubbed rear wheels. The
two cloth bucket seats are extremely supportive. Plus, you have a
full driver's setup with upgraded gauges (including tach and
boost), toggle switches, and a B&M ratchet shifter.
The hood lifts nice and tall not just for access but also for
everyone to see. After all, this might be a monster motor, but it
has such a sweet look with the smooth inner walls and all the major
components shining brightly. But more than just an award-worthy
presentation, you're wondering about the power. This is Ford's
famous 302 cubic-inch. It has dual Holley four-barrel carburetors
and a BDS blower. There are also the right supporting pieces like
steel braided lines w/AN fittings, a deep sump oil pan, a Griffin
aluminum radiator, a separate trans cooler, and an electric fan.
Headers feed into an H-pipe dual exhaust that gives a mighty growl
out of the sides. And the muscle gets to the rear wheels with a
three-speed automatic transmission that feeds the Ford 9-inch rear.
And ladder bars, adjustable coilovers, and meaty Hoosier tires make
sure the power meets the pavement. This even has four-wheel disc
brakes for superior stopping power.
This is a serious power machine that also has an award-worthy fit
and finish. So if you love big power and plenty of style, call
today!
