This Pro Touring Mach 1 checks all the boxes: custom suspension,
performance motor, stick shift, a/c and so much more. It will turn
heads with it's outstanding looks. Although built by Mustang
enthusiasts (president of Mustang club) it is not a high end build.
The intention was to make a sharp looking car to drive and enjoy.
It is also priced $23,000 less than the last one I sold that was
equipped very similarly.
EXTERIOR: It has a modern look with it's 2 tone paint, Foose
wheels, scoops and spoilers. No rust or damage on the body, new
fenders and quarter panels. The emblems and trim were removed and
filled for a clean look. The body work is very good amature work,
very presentable but not a $25,000 job. The scoop on the hood is
functional delivering fresh air to the motor compartment. Right
next to it is a hood tachometer. It also has sport also has sport
mirrors and molded in scoops on the quarter panels. There's a front
spoiler and a custom rear spoiler with integrated third brake
light. Painted DuPont Chroma Base bright silver metallic and bright
blue metallic with 4 coats of clear with pearl. The two tone is
separated with a black pinstripe. The chrome was replaced, Shelby
gas cap. Windshield and weatherstrips were replaced. The glass is
tinted. The white convertible power top is in good shape, it is a
little tatered on the edge. It rolls on Foose Nitrous ll wheels-
17x7s in front 17x10s in back with performance tires.
INTERIOR: Overall very good condition. It has an NPD interior kit
which included carpet, upholstery and door panels. It also has
embroidered mats. The dash pad is new, the a/c vents are custom
installed. There is a complete set of seatbelts front and back. The
center console is in good shape but not new, it has custom oil and
temp gauges. 3 spoke cushion grip steering wheel is on a Flaming
River chrome tilt column. The interior lights work. Music is
provided with an Alpine stereo, 6 inch speakers in the doors, 6x9s
in back and a 10 inch subwoofer behind the seat.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Painted blue engine compartment with custom
inner fenders. At the heart of it there is a Paramore Motors built
351Windsor, it makes 333 hp at the rear wheel which is about 400 at
the motor, 369 lbs of torque. It has Weisco pistons, 292 Extreme
Energy Comp cam and AFR aluminum heads. On top is an Edelbrock
intake and a huge dual feed Pro Form carb. It also has Hedman
headers and MSD ignition system. The motor is dressed up with
aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. It runs cool with an
aluminum radiator a big electric fan and 2 small electric fans and
a polished overflow bottle. It features power steering, power
brakes and air conditioning.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid trunk with a mat. The battery was
relocated to the trunk.
UNDERSIDE: Upfront is a Mustang ll independent suspension from
Speedway with tubular control arms, QA-1 coil over shocks, HD
swaybar and rack & pinion steering. In back is a 4 link set up with
QA-1 coil over shocks, tubular control arms and panhard bar. The
front and back are tied together with welded in tubular frame
connectors. Upgraded brakes with 10 inch disc at all 4 wheels. 2
1/2 inch exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers that
dump right before the rear end. Upgraded Tremec 5-speed with 10
inch Centerforce clutch and a Hurst linkage. In back is a narrowed
9 inch with Richmond 4.11 posi and Moser 28 spline axles. The
floors have been restored, it's all solid welded in metal. The
underside is painted blue like the car.
This is a car meant to be driven and enjoyed. Shifting through
those gears on a winding road with the top down sounds like a
perfect afternoon to me! I'm sure you won't mind the compliments
and thumbs up either.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
