It's great to have a 1966 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 that's also been
restored to have the right upgrades. So that means muscle car V8
power and four-on-the-floor mixed with modern touches like a
Bluetooth radio, and a unique color with a vibrant style.
The consignor states this was a multi-year restoration with only
about 2,500 miles on it since completion. And this certainly has
the fresh look of quality. The color is called Canyon Red, and it's
actually borrowed from a more modern palette from a different car
company. So it's bright, glossy, and unique to see on an
Oldsmobile. The wide and imposing design, pillar-less hardtop
profile, and a hint of flying buttress in the rear are all that
make the 1966 Olds 442 the ideal balance of sporty and
sophisticated. So it's great to see a body that's so well
presented. Form-hugging chrome bumper, bright dual exhaust tips,
and Olds Super Stock wheels are all part of the details that make
this such an attractive classic.
The black interior looks good against the distinctive red. And we
like the classic seating where you have two wide benches, and you
can also fold down the center armrest for a more individualized
level of comfort. The details here are great - from the smooth dash
to the intricate door panels. Even the courtesy lights are working.
But because this one also wants to be a great modern driver, you
also have upgrades like the AM/FM stereo with USB and Bluetooth.
This mix of vintage and modern is especially nice for the driver's
package. You have the classic Olds performance steering wheel and a
Hurst floor shifter. This is joined by a full Dakota Digital gauge
package with a large speedo and integrated tach.
We all love the look of the Oldsmobile golden motor under the hood,
and this one has a tidy style you'll love showing off. This was
said to have been rebuilt in 2015 around the beginning of the
restoration. Just like the rest of the car, you have the right mix
of vintage and upgraded. So it's an era-correct 400 cubic-inch V8
topped with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor. But you can also
spot the Edelbrock finned valve covers and Edelbrock Torker 455
intake. It fires up eagerly, and the Muncie M20 four-speed manual
transmission gives you full control over the full power and
rumbling soundtrack. Plus, the new front end, power steering, power
brakes w/front discs, boxed rear arms, and sway bars front & rear
all deliver a terrific driver's classic.
This has a four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission,
and dual exhaust that true 442 fans recognize. So you have an
awesome muscle machine that also was built for more show and go. It
makes for the kind of coupe you know you can't let get away. Call
