The 1960 Ford Thunderbird was the year of alot of first year of the
T-bird such as square body, six tailights and most of all and the
only year until several years later the factory sunroof known as
the Golde Top. They only made 2536 Golde Top cars out of the 92,843
thunderbirds produced. Total made with a standard price of $3,967
and this car was very well equipped car with factory power seat
($92.10), Power windows ($102.10), Power Steeering ($75.30), Power
Brakes ($43.20), Cruise o Matic 3spd Auto Transmission ($242),
fenderskirts ($26.60) plus Dual Mirrors. Carolina Car since new.
History back to Rock Hill SC since almost new. They had it painted
and new seat cover installed in the early 1980s. He said the 80,000
miles are correct but in North Carolina we have to sell it miles
exempt because of the age. Car looks to have original interior
other than seat covers and carpet. all original chrome and trim, it
looks to stil have the original painted under the hood and trunk
lid also. It has been gone over several years ago from being in
good storage for many years. They had fuel system cleaned and the
carb rebuilt, plug & Wires, Brakes we gone thru and several other
things were done. Five new tires and new exhaust was added. It
still has the original trunk mat and boards in it. The motor is a
factory Y code Thunderbird 352 Special V8300 hp 4barrell Holley
Carb with Factory Dual exhaust, Crusie-O-matic, and 3:10 rear axle.
