unique. We have such an example of a 1950 Desoto Sportsman here at
Adventure Classics.
It has all those sleek lines of the old school Desoto that was
built on a 2006 Chrysler 300 chassis with a 5.7 Hemi to power it
down the road.
Engine & Drivetrain
This is not your typical 1950 Desoto which has the body dropped
over the chassis of a 2006 Chrysler 300 so you have all the power,
handling, and reliability of a modern car with he looks of a
vintage Desoto.
The Sportsman is powered by a 5.7 liter Chrysler Hemi engine with
Featuring rear-wheel-drive with 340 horsepower.
It sits in the clean and tidy engine compartment and looks great
with its black and silver fuel rail covers and center engine cover
with its 5.7 and Hemi logos showing the open element custom air
cleaner intake.
The 300 chassis makes this Desoto a great handling car for its
size. It has a much better suspension with all modern power and
handling with the power steering, power disc brakes, larger custom
chrome mag wheels and performance tires, and the precise automatic
transmission.
Our stylish looking 1950 custom is a very solid and straight
automobile that makes this car a nice driver.
Interior
The interior of our Desoto is from the Chrysler 300 and presents
the true craftsmanship of the designers at Chrysler. The cabin is
spacious and upgraded to feature a luxurious ride with it's tan
seats that are upholstered in premium Napa Leather and has
perforated inserts to enhance the comfort of the passengers. The
real wood and satin chrome accents add to its premium quality..
Right at the front of the driver is a multi-functioning,
leather-wrapped, five-spoke steering wheel with real wood accents.
The addition of the tilt and telescoping steering column allows the
driver to adjust and position the steering wheel according to the
driver's preferences.
Also included are all the other 300 amenities including the digital
display, premium stereo system, LED lighted instrument panel and
dashboard with all the factory gauges and clock, air conditioning,
etc.
Exterior
The exterior of our custom is a deep, rich, and brilliant black
paint over the sleek stretched flowing lines of this Desoto
body.
It has been chopped and smoothed with custom grill, front and rear
pans, and is something that must be seen in the pictures or in
person. All the work that has been done on this ride is top notch
and professional.
