Vehicle Description
STK 3079 2012 EZ-Go Hot Rod Golf Cart
Two brothers owned a machine shop in Augusta GA and conceived the
E-Z-GO Golf Cart in 1952. They revolutionized the game of golf, and
retired a lot of caddies. By 1960, E-Z-GO Carts had become part of
Textron Specialized Vehicles, a division of the Textron
Corporation. Textron has been building tens of thousands of golf
carts every year since. That said, E-Z-GO has never produced a cart
like this modified 2012 model. (Textron may want to rethink their
business plan - this cart attracts more attention than a Yenko
Camaro.) Built on a custom 1-off frame, it is fitted with a 305HO
Chevy V8 donated by an '87 Monte Carlo. The small-block is equipped
with a Comp 'Thumpr' cam, block-hugger headers and straight
exhaust. That is just the beginning. The plastic body has been
refinished in 'Purple Haze' with beautiful flowing flames. (There
is an aluminum spoiler mounted on the roof, but wheelie-bars might
have been a better choice - just sayin'.) The interior and dash are
totally custom. Purple and yellow vinyl seating compliment the
exterior perfectly and the dash holds a complete set of Stewart
Warner analog gauges including tachometer and a JVC AM/FM/CD sound
system.
