Here's your chance to own one of the most interesting pickups you
are going to ever come across. This 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Indy Pace Truck is one of about only 1,500 ever made. And it keeps
all the best stock-style pieces, especially the paint theme.
This is an official replica (the pace trucks were at the track, and
the replicas were the ones sold through dealerships.) There were
estimated to be only about 1,500 examples produced, so this has
been a collector truck from day one. That's why it's great to see
that this has been treated that way. The special two-tone paint is
the original factory application. The color-matched bumpers are
distinctive, and the pace truck deals all look good. The colorful
full-length Indy 500 decal package retains its bold presentation,
which is a small miracle to have the four-color intertwined
presentation still looking so good. The largest upgrade you'll
notice is the set of competition-style Torq Thrust 20-inch wheels
on the lowered suspension. It still gives the right classic
American vibe, but with an added sporty style that seems to go
right with the streamer-like paint theme. And the fresh liner paint
in the bed is a nice touch. We doubt you'll do any heavy hauling
with this truck, but it just looks right on a clean pickup like
this.
The interior is pure classic Silverado. Your seat is a split bench
that lets you sit three-across, but the driver has a contoured
bucket-like comfort. There are plenty of desirable features like
power windows, power locks, a tilt steering column, full gauges
with tach, and the factory AM/FM stereo with a separate cassette.
This is approaching the 30-year mark, and so you may want to invest
in a newer dash or service the A/C (we are told the components are
newer.) But overall, the appeal here is with a truck that has a
stock and respected style.
The 350 cubic-inch V8 comes from the desirable era of factory fuel
injection. So you get a hardy powerhouse that's also right for
today's driving. You also have power steering, power brakes w/discs
up front, and upgraded sport tires. And features like cruise
control and a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive means you can take this classic truck on
trips near or far with ease.
The 1990s trucks are really appreciating rapidly in the market, and
so one with guaranteed rarity and distinction like this makes for
an awesome total package. Call today!!!
