1970 VW BUG CONVERTIBLE BODY OFF RESTOMOD VIN# 1502200242. Made in Germany10/69 - The BUG spent 96% of its life on the West Coast of the USA. The Bug is rust and accident free. The Bug has been restored from the ground up. 98% of the bug is new and 2% has been reconditioned to OEM specs or better. The Bug has a clean title and has all 4 Vin# locations on car.                                  11/11/2024 RESTORED PARTS LIST updated:           

  • Lowered and narrowed ball joint front end with 2.5" drop spindles. 
  • EMPI 4-wheel Disc brakes with upgrade master cylinder, brake lines and electrical harness.
  • EMPI STEALTH COSMOS 15"X 5.5" with radial tires.  Back - 165R15 86H; Front 155/60R15.
  • EMPI front shocks and Steering stabilizer
  • Quick ratio steering box.
  • Rear spring plate bushings replaced. Spring plates powder coated black.  Ride height lowered 2.5" equipped with KYB shocks.
  • Billet Aluminum front and back bumpers with stainless steel hardware.
  • 66 Retro fitted gas tank, 70mm gas cap, new sending unit and wiring harness. (Side gas door welded shut) 
  • Front fenders with turn signal lights removed (welded closed) . (Relocated mini-LED turn signal lights on front apron).

  • Fiberglass engine deck lid with hinge offset brackets equipped with RADZ gas strut system (to keep the lid up when opened.).

  • 1904cc RON JONES long block built with all new External Oil Filter, Bosch 009 Distributor, Bosch coil, 11# Lightened chromoly Flywheel, Black Billet degree Power Pully, Ross Wulf Alternator pully, 75amp alternator, Carter electric Fuel pump with dash on/off switch, Eagle W-125 cam, Scat Super D 92 mm heads with 1.1 Solid Rocker assemblies, Fined Valve Covers, Extrude Honed Intake Manifolds, Heavy duty pushrods, Dual 44 EMPI Carbs and Bug Pack Fat Boy stainless steel exhaust.  (Rear apron exhaust outlets welded up)
  • 3 RADZ VENTALATORS for ultimate engine breathing.
  • New Red Orbital Battery supported by RADZ Billet battery hold down. New Fuse box, Relays, Switches and wiring thru out.
  • Top mechanism restored by RADZ - powder coated mini text black with new lock latches, Guide pins, rear & side wood bows stained and new hardware. 
  • New Devine One black canvas top.
  • New weather strip thru out.
  • Wolfsburg running boards.
