Vehicle Description
This 1931 Ford 5-window coupe is a custom build with an awesome
two-tone style that's so comprehensive that you even see it
underneath. So this custom classic is attractive for far more than
just being a cool V8-powered quarter-mile king.
The bone white and safari copper is a terrific two-tone that not
only has a bold style, but also it's thoughtfully intertwined. You
see it in the grille, engine bay, and streak of white zooming down
the lower body. Plus, the copper suspension components and white
frame were an important style choice on a car like this. It makes
the integration of the channeled body look even more seamless, and
you see more of the suspension thanks to the gasser-style tall
stance. Deleted fenders, wide exhaust tips, and extra meaty rear
tires also remind you that this well-coordinated build is also a
true performance machine.
The interior brings modern comfort to the classic style. It's done
in a tasteful gray on the door panels, carpeting, and cloth
upholstery. And the exterior copper returns on the dash and accents
for a nice splash of color. The seats are modern high-back units
with good bolstering and headrests. You also have tinted windows,
seatbelts, cup holders, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. And it's a true
driver-ready package with a sports steering wheel on a tilt column,
a tall Lokar shifter, and a dash full of crisp AutoMeter
gauges.
The engine bay is always on display, and so they took extra time to
make sure it fits in with the full color theme. That's why the
block, valve covers, and oil pan are color-matched to the car. And
the clean white firewall and polished components make for an
attractive full package. More than just look good, this is a proper
performance setup. The 289 cubic-inch V8 has been built with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and a
high lope cam. The lake-style headers give you the option of a
growling set of side pipes or routing it through the
glasspack-style dual exhaust. You've also got terrific supporting
components, like an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, a high
flow oil pump, and a fuel cell over the rear end for good traction.
The three-speed automatic with a shift kit and 2000 rpm stall
converter to keep you in the ideal powerband. This is built on a
strong boxed frame, and it has the right hot rod pieces, like front
disc brakes and extra-wide Mickey Thompson tires in the rear.
Complete with build receipts, this is a street machine where
thoughtfulness is at the heart of the appeal. So if you love a
