When the Cayenne debuted for sale in 2003, it was definitely with some mixed support. Porsche had introduced the water cooled variant of the 911 for the first time just a few years prior, now they are unleashing a 4x4 sport utility? The die hards were trying not to have it. However, the Cayenne has proved itself worthy of everything Porsche and quite honestly help Porsche retain its world class reputation. The Cayenne was the first V8 engine offered since 1985 when the 928 was discontinued and definitely the first off roader offered, well since the end of production of Porsche tractors some time ago. These rigs are powerful and comfortable as they are reliable. After talking to several Porsche mechanics, the sentiment is the same; "If they are maintained they are pretty bullet-proof". Well, what we have here is probably the nicest, documented, one owner, well-cared for example first generation Cayenne I have seen. This Cayenne is in what I would consider excellent condition for the age and mileage. The paint is really good, the trim is nice, the interior with the exception of some mild driver side carpet staining is in excellent condition. Everything is in operational condition with no light on the dash all working gauges and lights work. There is a mountain of service history from day one that comes with this Cayenne in addition to all original owners manuals, both original keys, original sales invoice and window sticker, it also has a Certificate of Authenticity. The tires are good as are the brakes as it just has a $2100 brake job completed. This rig had a 3M clear bra from the dealer at time of delivery installed that is yellowing a little but not bad, it also had paint protection installed at the same time. There are some stone chips on the very bottom of the rocker panel areas as to be expected but the body is free of rust and corrosion. This would make a excellent car for whatever your needs.
