Little gem ready for a new home!
We are estate liquidators helping the family with the sale of this car. According to the family, this has been sitting in the garage since the 1970's. When we got a hold of it, it looks like someone had started the process of restoration. We had our mechanic go through it completely. We installed a new carb, points, radiator and battery and got it running. Engine looks particularly clean and is either new or just reflective of the low mileage. We discussed the mileage with the family and they reported the truck was rarely used. Additionally, there is no indication the odometer has rolled over (eg., cocked number). Add the interior condition and we believe these to be original miles.
Cosmetically, there are a few trim pieces missing (headlight bezels and a small side trim piece, and the trim under the FORD letters). The FORD letters, Ford badges and Ranger badge are all included. Body looks good, no rust through spots, some surface rust in places and underneath looks good. Interior arm rests have deteriorated and split but are readily available. The driver's seat has been repaired with red tape but looks and functions fine.
It needs all fluids flushed and replaced and new tires, but not a lot more to make this a fantastic little runner.
