Great Divide €" Mazda B2600i period magazine ad headline The
advertising copy went on: Think of it as a brute with feelings.
Like most 4x4 trucks, the Mazda B2600i is built to play rough.
First off, it can handle nearly any off-road condition from desert
sands to rugged mountain tracks. And since it's equipped with a
2.6-liter engine, the most powerful Four in its class, it doesn't
just drive off-road, it conquers it. But what really sets the
B26000i apart is how it feels to drive. Developed with Kansei
engineering, it has been created to give you a driving experience
you won't expect from a 4x4. A feeling of comfort, confidence, and
control. In fact, it's so comfortable you may forget how tough it
is. But make no mistake, this truck is designed for toughness. And
designed well, for it allows you to get into 4-wheel drive with the
shift of a lever. And just as important, it allows you to return to
civilization just as easily. Test drive a B2600i. It'll feel out of
this world. And odds are, it could take you there. Offered here is
a very well-maintained 1990 Mazda B2600i pickup in dark blue over
tan. In spite of the advertising copy, this truck's excellent
overall condition strongly suggests it has rarely seen the desert
sands or rugged mountain trails. Showing 251,983 total miles, it
actually qualifies as a low-mileage vehicle by the Carfax
15,000-mile-per-year standard. This all-original, California-owned
(and only recently brought to Michigan, so it has never seen snow)
Mazda's annual average mileage is below 8,200 miles per-year. More
important, the truck is rust-free and shows every evidence of
having been the beneficiary of regular, comprehensive maintenance
and owner care. The exterior dark-blue paint is in amazing
condition for its age: excellent, even gloss across the entire
truck, with the exception of the hood which has suffered
superficial storm damage. All other sheet metal is free of dents,
dings, or other damage. (To best assess the quality of the paint
and trim finishes, be sure to view the close-up photographs of the
car in the accompanying gallery.) The cargo bed and sides are fully
protected with a custom Pendaliner® black insert (which also shows
little sign of use). Both the black front bumper and chrome rear
bumper are undamaged. The truck's elevated stance is
factory-correct due to the 4-wheel-drive system. Cabin glass and
lighting lenses are clear and undamaged. All factory badging is in
place. Stock 15-inch, silver-painted steel wheels in excellent
condition (with Mazda-branded center caps) are mounted with Big
Foot® Big O A/T LT205/75 all-terrain tires. Inside, the tan
interior shows well with expected signs of light wear from age and
use. Tan vinyl-covered door panels are free of damage; the tan
dashboard wears a carpet cover for protection. The stock steering
wheel shows light wear from use. The tweed-finish tan upholstery is
in very good condition with only light indications of wear on the
driver's side. Brown cabin carpeting is in good condition under
matching carpet mats. Instrument lenses are clear and control
surfaces in good condition. The shift lever for the 5-speed manual
transmission and the transfer-case selector lever are floor-mounted
side-by-side. A premium Tos
