originally purchased by the Purvis Family who owned Lafayette Ford,
Purvis Ford as well as other Ford dealerships during the Gurney
era. They sponsored Dan Gurney's NASCAR Legend Series race team.
Dan Gurney raced using numbers, 28, 121 and 0. 28 was his lucky
number for the 1963 Riverside Series which he won 5 times. Pat
Purvis special ordered this car with the serial number 28 in honor
of the man himself. With only 296 mile on the car it was sold to
its current custodian in November of 2009 and brought to
Connecticut. Under his car it has been carefully looked after and
diligently serviced regularly. Now up for sale with Autosport
Designs, the car comes with full Saleen document portfolio, build
