This 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS has been upgraded to be bolder
and more powerful to earn the Super Sport part of its name. But
it's nice to see that this also never loses the comfortable feeling
you love in a classic Monte Carlo.
We like the look of this coupe. It has a bright white that shows
off the formal lines of Chevy's personal cruiser. And at the same
time, the black elements stand out nicely to show off the Super
Sport's special aerodynamic front end. Even the 15-inch alloys are
painted to match for added distinction. The white makes for a great
background for the red pieces. You get the red pinstripes that
encircle the car, and the SS fender badging is also updated. But
that's not what really caught your eye. The red we all love the
most are the racing stripes. They warp over the spoiler to show off
that NASCAR-inspired piece, and it adds extra attitude to the
already intimidating power dome of the upgraded cowl hood.
The maroon interior is quite handsome and original. Detail loves
will even appreciate everything from the correct badging to the
working courtesy lights. There's an upgraded AM/FM stereo with USB
and Bluetooth for the best in modern driving music. But what really
engages you is the driver-ready layout with front bucket seats, a
center console, and a grippy SS steering wheel that gets your
sports car senses pumping.
The engine bay shows more of the right investments in this classic.
This generation had the 305 cubic-inch small block V8 with a
four-barrel carburetor on top. This one takes that and upgrades it
with a nice muscle car tradition of a bold orange block, bright air
grabber, and smooth cast valve covers. Plus, there's added power
here, too with a Summit intake and headers feeding into a full dual
exhaust system and Flowmaster mufflers. Not only is this a strong
runner, but also the 1985 model is preferred for versatility
because it was the debut of the four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive. And there are great anytime
features like the power steering, power brakes w/front discs, and
sway bars front & rear.
You might feel like doing projects down the road, like respraying
the paint, refreshing the interior, or returning the air
conditioning. But from day one this has a mix of a luxury cruiser
and upgraded attitude that's irresistible. So if you're looking for
a SS that's a truly distinct coupe, call today!!!
